Mrs. Allie Mae Willis Glenn, 100, of Tallahassee, FL went Home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, at Bethel AME Church. Interment will be with her beloved husband, U.S. Army Captain, Devurn H. Glenn, in the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing-visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Mrs. Glenn was born in 1924 to Malekiah and Ellen Rollins Willis. She was a 1943 graduate of the original Lincoln High School. After graduating, she married Devurn, her classmate, and together they raised six children. As a military wife, she traveled by ship, with three small children, to England where Captain Glenn was stationed. She returned to the states, this time by airplane, with her three children and an addition, a toddler, who was born in England. Mrs. Glenn was a gifted seamstress and worked as an alterationist at several prominent downtown Tallahassee stores. She supported her husband in all of his professional responsibilities. She was a strong woman of great faith and had been a member of Bethel AME Church for EIGHTY (80) years! During that time, she was a founding member of the Young Matrons' Club, Missionary Society and Stewardess Board # 2. She is survived by her brother, Robert Willis; children: Leatrice (Clifford) Marshall, Reverend Dr. Ronald (Janie) Glenn, Delores Y. (Willie A.) Hudson, Cleta R. Wolverton and Fadra L. (Malachi) Henry; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Glenn; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great, great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Glenn's son, Devurn Dallas Glenn, also preceded her in death.
