ALONZO LEROY MILLS was born on April 4, 1964, in Monticello, Florida to Willie Mills, Sr. and Bernice Peoples. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Willie Mae Mills.

ALONZO spent his early years in Monticello before moving to Winter Haven Florida, where he graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1982. Immediately following graduation, he returned to his hometown of Monticello, where he shaped a life of steadfast devotion to his family and community. He enjoyed a long and respected career as a heavy equipment operator, notably with the North American Pipe Company in Thomasville, Georgia, and later with Metcalf Lumber Company in Metcalf, Georgia, where his skill and dedication left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside him.

In his leisure time, ALONZO enjoyed working in his yard and spending time with his two loyal companions: Milo, a Shih Tzu, and Marine, an American Staffordshire Terrier. He valued connections and enjoyed visiting friends and family, whether in person or by phone. We all knew that his greatest passion was fishing. A man of deep and abiding faith, he trusted in God throughout his life and spoke often of his core belief: for everyone to LOVE one another.

Above all, ALONZO'S life was enriched by the love of his dedicated wife, Adrial Brown Mills. Married in 1995, the two shared more than four decades together, building a life rooted in love, loyalty, and unwavering companionship. Their partnership was a true example of enduring commitment through life's joys, challenges, and every ordinary moment that became meaningful, simply because they shared it together. Adrial was not only his wife, but his closest friend, his steadfast supporter, and his greatest blessing.

ALONZO lived a life defined by purpose, faith and an immense capacity for love. ALONZO LEROY MILLS, a devoted husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026. His love and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of his loving and devoted wife: Adrial Brown Mills of Monticello, FL; his loving siblings: Willie James Mills, St. Petersburg, FL, Rosetta (Reginald) Ross, Kissimmee, FL, Clarissa (Walter) Daniels, Ft. Myers, FL, Samantha Wilson, Atlanta, GA and Willie Lee (Mary) Mills II of Winter Haven, FL. He also leaves behind a cherished extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, along with his loving in-laws, who will forever hold him in their hearts.

It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Mills and to serve the Mills Family.
