It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Annie Mae Jenkins , 70, of Tallahassee.
Homegoing Services for Annie Mae Jenkins will be 11:00AM, Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Anderson Chapel AME Church, 1307 Harlem Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32304, with the interment to follow in the Midway Community Cemetery.
Viewing-visitation will be 3:00PM-5:00PM, Friday, December 26, 2025, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950) .
Annie Mae Jenkins was born in Tallahassee, Florida on January 10, 1955. She was the beloved daughter of John Williams and Frances Jenkins, both preceded Annie Mae in death.
Annie Mae grew up in her native Tallahassee where she attended the public schools of Leon County. She later attended Calvary Christian High School in Clearwater, Florida. She also was a graduate of Roffler School of Cosmetology. While she was a trained cosmetologist, most of her employment years were spent working in the dry-cleaning industry. She was regarded by all who knew her as being efficient and knowledgeable of developments and trends in laundry related matters.
In her leisure, Annie Mae was a fun-loving person who enjoyed music, dancing, gaming and cooking. All who knew her raved about how good her food tasted.
On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Annie Mae expectantly went home to be with the Lord. Her love and legacy will be cherished forever by her children: Tonya (Andre) Brim of New Jersey, Veronica Martin, Tashawnda Barber, and TJ Barber, Jr., all of Tallahassee, FL; brothers: Sylvester Solomon of Naples, FL, Detroit (Cheryl) Griffin, Sr., Willie (Janet) Harris III, all of Tallahassee, FL; sister: Lubertha (Brian) Harris-Keaton of Tallahassee, FL. 19 Grandchildren, 3 Great-grandchildren; 7 God Children: Alberta Holmes, Alex Holmes, Jared Rackley, Tiffany Dennis, Timeka Griffin, Stanely Williams and Fredirgas McNealy all of Tallahassee, FL.
