Annie Marie Key Richardson, a radiant soul, graced this world on November 29, 1949, as the beloved daughter of Marie Webster Jackson and Robert Lee Key. Her brilliance, kindness, and deep love illuminated the lives of countless individuals. Annie lived a righteous life, steadfastly devoted to her family and the well-being of others. Her warm smile and infectious spirit had the power to lift hearts and inspire joy in everyone she encountered.
Annie and Jimmie Richardson embarked on an extraordinary journey together, exchanging vows on January 8, 1970. Their union brought forth eight remarkable children: Amanda, Jimmie, Charles, Lisa, Mary, Timmie, Jeremiah, and Robert. These precious offspring embodied the essence of love and devotion that defined their parents' relationship. Annie's unwavering commitment to her family extended beyond her biological children, embracing three cherished goddaughters: ShiCora Bennet, Val Poosie Lattimore, and Janice Pugh, and godson, Jeremy Burch.
Preceding her journey into eternity, she bid farewell to her cherished siblings: Clarence Rochelle, Sr., Willie Smith, Jr., Josie Pearl Stinson, Annie Murl Key, Pearlie Mae Barfield, Barbara Louise Sewell, and Minnie Lee Rochelle.
To honor her memory, a constellation of beloved family members remain. Among them is her devoted husband of 54 years, Jimmie Richardson, IV; her children: Amanda, Jimmie, Charles, Lisa, Mary, Timmie, Jeremiah, and Robert; sisters: Irestine Bouie and Mary Brown; brothers Henry Rochelle, Sr., Robert Key, and William Key; Thirty-three (33) cherished grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren carry the torch of her unwavering spirit, and a multitude of other loving relatives stand as witnesses to the indelible mark she made on their lives.
Through their shared memories and the unwavering love that transcends time, they honor the extraordinary life she lived. Her laughter, her wisdom, and her unwavering faith will forever reverberate through the hearts of those who knew her best. Known fondly as 'Marie,' Annie tirelessly worked to support our family, ensuring that we never lacked the essentials or experienced want. Upon her Husband's retirement, she finally found solace in her true calling: not simply cooking, but nourishing others.
With unwavering dedication, she poured her heart into preparing meals that transcended sustenance and became emblems of love and generosity. Her foodwagon, ahead of its time, became a culinary haven where people gathered from all corners to savor her creations. Each dish she crafted was imbued with a touch of magic, filling not only stomachs but also spirits.
As patrons returned time and time again, Marie's face would beam with contentment, a testament to the appreciation she felt for the opportunity to share her culinary delights. Her unwavering belief that everyone deserved a warm and satisfying meal transformed her into a beacon of hope and kindness within our community. Traveling was her favorite pastime.
Just as she had embarked on her life's journey with quiet grace, Annie's earthly departure on June 4, 2024, was equally marked by serenity and peace.
