Anthony Malcolm Sawyer, 71, of Havana, FL passed on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Memorial services are 12 noon Thursday, August 29, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950). Born in Jacksonville on December 15, 1952, Anthony was the youngest of two children born to Hillard Sawyer and Eleanor Virginia Lowden Sawyer. His parents and sister, Ellen Mansfield Sawyer all preceded him in death. An Episcopalian, Andrew grew up in Quincy where he graduated high school. Anthony was employed for 45 years with Engelhard Minerals and Chemicals. In his younger years, he had been active in karate and judo and was an accomplished ping-pong champion. He loved star gazing and was a real history buff. In July, he purchased his first home of which he was extremely proud. Survivors include his two nieces, Virginia Hogan of Troutdale, OR and Amelia (Quinn) Johnson of Forest Grove, OR and their families.
