Barbara Pompey Knight Perry, 75, of Midway passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 24, 2024. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, at Mt. Sinai AME Church, 5998 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, with burial in the Church Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born and raised in Tallahassee, Barbara was a graduate of Rickards High School. She was retired from FSU Student Housing and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of Mt. Sinai. Survivors include her husband, Joe Perry; grandson she was raising as her own, Jeremiah Knight; stepchildren: Blake (Lisa) Perry and Dominique Perry; siblings; Wayne (Dorothy), Freddie (Kathy), Eddie, Robert (Ollie), Herbert (Melanie) and Harold Knight, Shirley Snow, Sharon Jenkins, Alwenthia Gallon, Betty (Prophet William) Moore, Shirley Knight and Cynthia Pounsel and numerous other relatives and friends.
