Mrs. Bertha Ward, 73, answered the Master's Call Friday, November 10, 2023. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, (Tomorrow) November 17, at the Old West Enrichment Center, with burial in DeSota Field Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Thursday (Today) at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Mrs. Ward earned her degree from FAMU, graduating Cum Laude. She retired from the State of Florida after 28 years of service as a Juvenile Probation Officer. Mrs. Ward was a talented seamstress and the First Lady of St. Peter P.B. Church, Tallahassee. Forever cherishing her love are her husband, Elder Doc Ward; daughter, Jeffana Trina Holmes (Terry M.); son, Gregory Ward; stepdaughters: Alberetta Williams (Chris) & Lataschia Valqueze; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Jewel Holmes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
