Missionary Betty Williams King, of Tallahassee's Chaires-Capitola Community passed under the care of her niece, Shawn Williams, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Homegoing services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 13, at St. Phillip AME Church, Monticello, with interment in Oakfield Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 5-7 p.m. Friday at her church, Mt. Sinai AME, Tallahassee, FL. Born in Sylvester, GA, Mrs. King had lived in Cocoa before moving to Tallahassee in 1960. She would become a caregiver, establishing her own ACLF. For the past eleven years, she has been an Elder Care Services Senior Companion Volunteer for Big Bend Hospice. She was a devout member of Mt. Sinai, serving faithfully as a Missionary and Steward. She was the last survivor of her siblings. Survivors include her son, Frankie Lee Jones, Sr.; grandson, Frankie Lee Jones. Jr; niece-caregiver, Shawn Williams; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
