It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Mrs. Betty Jean Wilson Proctor, 68, of Greenville, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Sunday, August 2, 2026. 

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO CHAPEL (850-997-5553).

Homegoing Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2026, at New Bethel AME Church, 6496 Ashville Hwy, Monticello, FL 32344, with burial to follow in Ashville Community Cemetery.

Born in Quitman, GA and raised in Clyattville, GA, Betty graduated from Lowndes High School in Valdosta, GA and later from North Florida Community College in Madison, FL. She was a Certified Medical Assistant and a Cosmetologist. She had lived in Miami where she was an accomplished Chef. A superb cook, she also enjoyed fishing, sewing, crafting, shopping and supporting her husband, General Proctor, Jr. with his endeavors.
