Brenda S. Lawson

Tallahassee, FL - Brenda Joyce Stroud Lawson, 70, of Tallahassee passed on Monday, April 4, 2022. Graveside services are 12 noon Saturday, April 16, in Midway Community Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A Miami, FL native, Mrs. Lawson grew up in Newark, NJ, where she graduated high school from Eastside High. She retired from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and was a memer of St. John M.B. Church in Capitola. Her husband, Louis Thomas Lawson, Sr. preceded her in death. Survivors include daughter-caregiver, Shondrea (Derek) Townsend; son, Diverous Lawson; stepdaughter, Barbara Lawson; 8 grandchildren; brother, Alvin (Connie) Stroud; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
