Calantheus Powell Johnson, 72, of Tallahassee, FL passed on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 5, at Mt. Bethlehem P.B. Church, with interment in Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A native of Tallahassee, Mrs. Johnson was a 1969 graduate of the original Lincoln High School. She later graduated from Lively Vocational Technical School. She was employed for over 25 years with the Florida Departmernt of Children and Families before retiring. A devoted member of Mt. Bethlehem, Calen had served as an Usher and Sunday School Superintendent. Survivors include her husband, Melvin J. Johnson; sons: Derrick and Eric Johnson; grandson; Jayden Johnson; siblings: Dwayne and Felicia Powell, Martha Lee Rutledge and Ramona P. (Vic) Dennis; and numerous other relatives and friends.
