It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Mrs. Cassandra Latrece Gammons Wilkerson, 62, of Dublin, Georgia, who departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 11, 2026.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Anderson Chapel AME Church, 1307 Harlem Street, Tallahassee, FL 32304.

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950) .

Cassandra Latrece Wilkerson was born in Tallahassee, Florida on July 18, 1963. Born to Lillian Gammons and Andrew Kinder, Cassandra became the daughter of Lillian and Charles Ray Kemp when the two were married while Cassandra was yet a toddler. Charles Ray raised Cassandra as his own. Sadly, he went Home to be with the Lord in 2024. Andrew Kinder went Home to be with the Lord in 2025.

Most of Cassandra's developmental years were spent on Tallahassee's North side. She attended the public schools of Leon County and graduated in 1981 from the historic Leon High School. While at Leon, she sang as a member of the school's Chorus. She then continued her education at Florida A&M University where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. She then began her career with the Veterans Administration in Dublin, Georgia. While working full-time, she was awarded her Master's degree in Family and Marriage Counseling from Ft. Valley State University. She would soon thereafter switch from working as an Occupational Therapist to Counseling in an area consistent with her Master's. She became a Marriage and Family Counselor.

In Cassandra's leisure time, she enjoyed crocheting, shopping and spending quality time with family and friends.

On Sunday, January 11, 2026, God saw fit to summon Cassandra Latrece Wilkerson Home for her Celestial rest. She leaves her love to her dear mother: Lillian Gammons Kemp; sisters: Desiree Kemp (Richard) Thigpen, Pacquita Kemp and Dawn Kinder; brother: Eric Kinder; nieces: Brianna Thigpen and Rayna Thigpen; special friends: Natacha Billups and Celeste Clendinen; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Wilkerson and to serve the Wilkerson Family.
