Viewing is Tuesday (Today) 4-6 p.m. at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Mrs. Ballard earned her Bachelor's from Troy State University and her Master's from Florida State University. She was a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Survivors include her husband, Robert Ballard; son, Charles Ballard; daughter, Jessica Ballard (Joey) Cooper; one grandchild; mother, Ovetta Smith; sister, Tanya (James) Darden; brothers: Anthony Smith, Yarnell (Leilani) Smith and William (Diamond) Smith, Jr.; mother-in-law, Hula Ballard; in-laws: Patricia Gilmer, Loretta Robinson, Gwendolyn Patterson, Samuel Sr., Jerome and Calvin Ballard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
