It is with heartfelt sympathy, we announce the passing of Mr. Charles Edward Jackson , age 72, of Tallahassee, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

Viewing-visitation will be 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 15, 2026, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950) .

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Tillman of Tallahassee Chapel.

The interment will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Pkwy, Tallahassee, FL 32311.

Charles "Charlie" Edward Jackson was born to the now-late Willie Jackson and Elvira Johnson-Jackson on October 24, 1953. Charlie was was a dedicated husband for 20 years, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Charlie, as he was affectionately called, accepted Jesus Christ in his early stages of life. On Thursday, May 7, 2026, God whispered softly and called him by name; he needed the call and bidded this old world goodbye.

Charlie leaves a legacy of love and pleasant memories to his family, two daughters: Markisha Jackson and Shamiracle Jackson, both of Tallahassee, FL. During Charlie's early years, he was married to Anita Murray-Jackson for twenty years, Augusta, GA, but God saw a need to continue their friendship; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jerome (Dr. Louise Stephen) Johnson, Quincy, FL and Willie Jackson, Jr., Wewahitchka, FL; a special niece: Valencia Johnson-Ford of Tallahassee, FL; and to cherish his memories, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Jackson and to serve the Jackson Family.
