In Remembrance of Our Beloved
Mr. Chranzie Jerger, Jr.
Chranzie Jerger, Jr., was born to Chranzie Jerger, Sr. and Dorothy Lawyer Jerger Johnson on July 22, 1953. Both of his parents preceded him in death.
Chranzie attended the public schools of Leon County. He also attended the United States Job Corps. He worked on several jobs around Tallahassee and was known as a very hard worker and very determined to complete every task assigned to him.
Chranzie, due to illness, resided at Miracle Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the last five years of his life.
Chranzie was a member of St. Mary Primitive Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his health no longer allowed him to attend, but his heart was always present. He loved his church family, and he loved and missed hearing our choir’s good signing. He was a very quiet person but loved hard and was loved and respected by many.
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, God Almighty summoned Brother Chranzie Jerger, Jr., Home for his eternal rest. His love and legacy will rest forever in the hearts of his daughter: Stephanie Jerger of Baltimore, MD; three sisters: Jessena Jerger Kilpatrick and Maggie Jerger (caregiver), both of Tallahassee, FL and Mable (Corker) Wimberly of Crawfordville, FL; brother: John Spell of Austin, TX; two aunts: Catherine Lawyer, Tallahassee, FL and Geneva Brown of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; four uncles: Nehemiah Chambers, Tallahassee, FL, Eli Chambers, Los Vegas, NV, Andrew Lawyer and Calvin Lawyer, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Jerger and to serve the Jerger family.
