Clarence E. Swatts, 70, of Tallahassee passed on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 18, at Jacob Chapel Baptist Church, with burial in St. Luke Cemetery, Reno, GA. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born in Gadsden County and raised in Cairo, GA, Mr. Swatts had been employed by the proctor Automotive Group for 48 years before retiring. He loved mechanics, gardening and maintaining a pristine yard. Survivors included his loving wife, Betty Bennett Swatts; children: Latasha (Greyize Whigham) Taylor, Lorenzo (Juwann) Swatts, Ketrina (Bryan) Bennett and Norris (Alencia) Tolliver, Jr.; grandson who was like a son, Jamari (Perla) Bennett; grandchildren: Skyla and Joy Taylor, Sommer Miller, Logan, Payten and Parker Swatts, Noah, Isaac and Erias Tolliver; great-grandchildren: Kyrie, Olivia and Jamyra Bennett; mother, Christine Maddox Swatts; siblings: Lucille MacWhite, Willie (Yvonne), Ira, David (Mamie), Paul, Gwendolyn and James Swatts and Ella Patten; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
