December 28, 1959 – February 11, 2024
Clyde Williams, 64, who was well-known in the Food Service Industry passed in Tallahassee on Sunday, February 11, 2024. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh M.B. Church, Greenville, with burial in New Zion Cemetery. A Wake will be held Friday (Tomorrow) 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Bethel AME Church, Tallahassee. He worked at Florida Plywood before moving to Tallahassee where he began a long career in Food Service. He worked at Florida A&M's Dining Service, FAMU DRS Cafeteria and catered for years with caterers, Thad Fortune and Rev. James Williams. Most recently, Clyde was a Bus Assistant for Leon County Schools. He was a longtime member and usher at Allen Temple CME Church. Clyde was best known for his kind and giving spirit. Survivors include his nephew who was like a son, Keith Thomas; siblings: Diane (Carlton) Sheffield, Geneva (Keith) Thomas, Sr. and Katie (Patrick) Hodge, Johnny (Nell), Willie (Mary), John Wayne ( Lynn), Jimmy (Shirley), Reverend Larry, Tyrone (Christia) and Wilbert Williams, Henry (Gloria) and Larry (Nell) Reaves, Valerie McCray and Betty Jean Miller; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
