Dallas James Herring, 71, of Tallahassee passed at home on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950), with Interment in Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A lifelong resident of Tallahassee, Dallas was retired from Plant Operations at Florida A&M University. He was known for moving and installing furniture throughout campus. He had been a deacon at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters: Deanna Herring Banks and Janel Z. Herring; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters: Christine Stevens, Deloris (Willie) Ford and Lenora Fluellen; brothers: Jimmie Lee Williams, Sr., Johnnie C. Henderson and Andre Herring; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
