With heavy hearts, yet grateful for the joy he brought into our lives, we announce the passing of Master Da'Quan Lakeith Cummings, Jr. , 7, of Wewahitchka, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Viewing-visitation for Master Da'Quan Cummings, Jr., will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (CST), on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Wewahitchka Elementary School Cafeteria, 514 E. River Road, Wewahitchka, FL 32465.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Wewahitchka Elementary School Cafeteria, with the committal concluding in Snowhill Cemetery, Gibson Road, Apalachicola, FL 32320.

Da'Quan Lakeith Cummings, Jr., affectionately known as "DJ," was born on November 4, 2018, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to Ziya Daniels and Da'Quan Cummings, Sr. From the very beginning, DJ brought joy everywhere he went. His bright smile, playful spirit, and loving heart made each day sweeter for those around him. He loved spending time with his family and found happiness in the simple things – especially watching Cocomelon, enjoying Mickey Mouse, and singing along to his favorite cartoons. His laughter and innocence were gifts that warmed every room he entered.

DJ attended Wewahitchka Elementary School, where his gentle and cheerful nature touched the hearts of classmates and teachers alike. Though his time with us was brief, the love he shared will last forever. On January 19, 2026, in Pensacola, Florida, DJ Peacefully transitioned, leaving behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

DJ leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving parents, Ziya Daniels and Da'Quan Cummings, Sr.; his beloved brother, Kaiden Cummings; his maternal grandparents, Lashonda Ware (Marvin Ware) and Chris Daniels; his paternal grandparents, Sandra James (Mary Tiller) and Fredrick Cummings, Sr.; his paternal great-grandmother, Meltonia James; his maternal great-grandmother, Carolyn Byrd; and a host of devoted uncles, aunties, cousins, extended family members, classmates, and friends.

It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Master Cummings and to serve the Cummings Family.
