David Jones, 88, of Tallahassee passed at home, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, at New Covenant Holy Temple with Interment in Barrow Hill Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A lifelong resident of Tallahassee, Mr. Jones was a retired Groundskeeper for the City of Tallahassee Cemeteries and for the Florida Department of Management Services. He also worked part-time as a nighttime Custodian. He was a die-hard Atlanta Braves fan and a devoted, shouting member of New Covenant. Survivors include his loving wife, Bonnie M. Jones; sons: Victor (Tawanna) and Reginald Jones; bonus son, Louis (Cheryl) Ross; four grandchildren; four bonus grandchildren; four brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; special friend, Deacon Gary Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
