Obituary

Deacon Melvin "Jack" Reddick, 91, of Tallahassee's Capitola Community finished his earthly course on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Homegoing services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 27, 2025 at St. Rilla M.B. Church, with interment in Greater Elizabeth Church Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at St. Rilla. Mr. Reddick served faithfully as a member-deacon at St. Rilla. He was talented at wood-working, making his own turkey calls. He loved fishing and was a superb musician, playing the harmonica and guitar. He was a retired ASE Certified Automotive & Small Engine Technician for Sears, having worked there for 35 years. He leaves his love to his wife of 69 years, Louvenia Hall Reddick; children: Prophetess/Rev. Sylvia (Benjamin) Baker, Kelvin (Imogene) Reddick, Patricia Reddick-Berkins and Patrick Reddick; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters: Julia R. Jenkins and Jessie R. Sanders; and several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
