Dexter Lamar Cooper, Sr., 60, of Tallahassee passed on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Old West Enrichment Center, with Interment in Oakland Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A Cairo, GA native, Dexter was a 1982 graduate of Cairo High School. He was a longtime (25 years) employee at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH), where he began as a Supervisor before ascending to Administrative Manager, Patient Access. He was an avid runner and had been a member of Greater New Corinth M.B. Church in Cairo. His love and legacy will be cherished forever by his loving wife, LaTrenda Moye Cooper; sons: Dexter (Shonda) Cooper, Jr. and Demetrius Cooper; daughters: Latecia (Shane) Raffington and Precious Perry; six grandchildren; mother, Rutha ( Rev. Dr. Dellise) Cox; sister, Debra (Judson) Gee; and a host of other relatives and friends. His father, Harry Gurley preceded him in death.
