In May of 1975, she married Carl White, Sr., in Philadelphia.
Dorothy worked for the United States Postal Service and was also a determined entrepreneur, always thinking of ways to provide for herself and the people she loved. While living in Philadelphia, Dorothy attended modeling school and enjoyed expressing herself through fashion and beauty. "Dot", as she was affectionately known by her family, loved bright colors, especially red, yellow, pink, and purple. Dot took pride in her appearance.
Dorothy had a generous heart and often helped those experiencing homelessness by offering food, drinks, and helpful information. Dorothy's greatest love was her son, Rusdy, whom she protected fiercely. She deeply adored her granddaughter, Kennedy, who reminded her of herself as a little girl and whom she loved to surprise with gifts throughout the year.
Known for her friendly spirit and playful sense of humor, Dorothy loved making people laugh. She enjoyed good food, music, singing, dancing, and family gatherings, where her joyful personality often made her the life of the celebration.
Dorothy leaves to honor and cherish her memory beloved son: Rusdy C. White; her treasured granddaughter: Kennedy White; siblings: Margie Jessup, Maggie L. Warren, Linda F. Warren, Santoria Warren, Lorraine Warren, John L. Warren, Jr., Johann S. Warren, Edward F. Warren, and Naomi C. Guthrie; along with devoted aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, friends, and neighbors.

Jeske, Johnnie Mae Gerlack, and Helen J. Turner; and her nephews: Drevon Warren and Mark A. Guthrie.
