Eddie Louis Knight, Sr., 74, of Midway, FL passed on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Funeral services are 12 noon Friday, December 22, at the Old West Enrichment Center, with burial following in the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing is 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, December 21, at St. Paul AME Church, Midway, FL.  He was a Gadsden County native and a 1966 graduate of Northside High School. Mr. Knight was a highly decorated Vietnam Combat Army Veteran earning the Bronze Star Medal. He was a trustee at St. Paul AME Church and a retired Transportation Plant Manager for Goodwill Industries. His love and legacy will live forever in the hearts of his children: Eddie Knight, Jr., April Knight and Monique Knight; mother, Mrs. Lillie Ruth Williams; life companion, Sharon "Peaches" Burns; grandchildren: Lakeithia Gordon, Michael Moore and Nyla Knight; great-grands: Keyon, Kevon, Kamryn and Kaitlyn Richardson; siblings: Freddie Galloway, David (Zoie) Knight, Melvin (Christa) Nelson, Gloria (Charlie) Fields and Peggy Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
