Deaconess Edna Mae Young Williams was born on November 16, 1942, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Johnny Young and Louvina Deadwilder-Young. Edna devoted 38 years of service to Florida State University Hospital, where she was known for her hard work, kindness, and professionalism. After retirement, Edna continued to give back to her community by serving as a crossing guard for the City of Tallahassee Police Department, helping protect and guide children at a local elementary school. Her presence was a blessing to generations of families.
