Ernestine Williams Parrish, 64, of Monticello passed unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. at the Old Jefferson County High School Auditorium, with burial on Monday in the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO (850-942-1950). A lifelong resident of Monticello, Mrs. Parrish was a graduate of Jefferson County High School. She was employed as a custodian with the Jefferson County School Board. Ernestine was a talented cook, an accomplished singer and a devoted member of Monticello's Bethel AME Church. Her love will be cherished forever by her devoted husband, Roy Parrish; son, Kevin (Kristie ) Gilley; daughters: Dianne (Edwin) Keaton and April Gilley; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers: Johnnie Lee (Dorothy), Ozell Jr. (Barbara), Nathaniel and Chester (Barbara) Williams; sisters: Johnnie Mae Williams, Annie Lee Kilpatrick, Queen Blackshear and Mary Frances Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends.
