Eva Walker Burgess Harris, 69, of Tallahassee passed unexpectedly at home on Monday, July 22, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, at Concord AME Church, with burial in the Church Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Mrs. Harris was a 1972 Leon High graduate and a retired FSU Custodian. She was a devoted Stewardess at Concord AME. Survivors include her husband, Elmore Harris; children: Michael Burgess and April Burgess (Sunday) Odoh; step-children: Eric and Ashley Harris and Deborah Jackson; siblings: Betty (Alvin) Reese, Randall (Barbara), Herman Sr., David and James Walker; brother-in-law, Johnny Ford; several grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
