Gary Dwight Cooper II passed unexpectedly in Land O'Lakes, FL on Sunday, April 13, 2025. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Bethel AME Church, Tallahassee, with interment in Concord Cemetery. Viewing will be at the Church one hour prior the service. A Tallahassee native, Gary was a 2005 graduate of Lincoln High School. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from FAMU. His professional employment began at Nestles. He later was hired in Tallahassee by Verizon and after a few years, he was promoted to Regional Contracts manager for Verizon's Tampa Bay area, a position he still held at the time he passed. A well-organized and astute person, Gary was all about making life better for himself and those whom he loved. He was a member of and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Among his survivors are his daughter, Ava Cooper; parents, Gary D. Mara) Cooper, Sr. and Gwendolyn Hall Cooper; sister, Jessica Cooper; and a host of aunts, uncles, close cousins, colleagues, and friends.
