Geneva Hart-Burr was born on August 10, 1955, in Tallahassee, Florida to Walter Hart, Sr. and Doreather Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Walter Hart. Jr.

A Tallahassee native, Geneva graduated from the Leon County Public School System and went on to spend a period of time working in the nursing field. She later dedicated 19 years of service to the Leon Advocacy and Resource Center (L.A.R.C.), where she continued her passion for helping and caring for others.

At an early age, Geneva accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a long-time member of New Covenant Holy Temple, where she served as a member of the Choir. Her love for singing and worship reflected her deep and abiding faith.

Geneva was united in marriage to her husband, Eric Burr, for 31 years. She was a loving and dedicated mother to her children: Nikki Richardson, Terrence Hart and Erica Burr. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Larry Harrison.

Geneva was a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren: Terrence Jr., Sydney, Savanna, Sanetta, Tanner, Jamarion, Kentavious, Quarvez, Gentle and David, all of whom she adored deeply.

Geneva had a friendly, down-to-earth personality. She never met a stranger and was known for her welcoming smile. She found joy in many hobbies, including thrift shopping, restoring and reupholstering furniture, interior decorating, gardening, and caring for flowers. She loved attending family events, giving to others in their time of need, and spending time with her beloved pet, Ke-Ke.

Geneva leaves precious memories to her husband: Eric Burr; children: Nikki Richardson, Terrence (Vonetta) Hart and Erica Burr; ten grandchildren; two sisters: Annie Hart and Rosa Hart; dear friends, among whom her closest: Annie Knight, Betty Hale-Hadley and Tammy Jackson; brother-in-law: Lindsey Grant, Jr.; sister-in-law: Lynn Burr-Baker; along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Geneva Hart-Burr's legacy of love, faith and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mrs. Burr and to serve the Burr Family.
