Respectfully, we announce the passing of Mr. George Gregory Atkins, who passed on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 55 years of age.

The youngest of eleven siblings, George was born in Monticello, FL on November 15, 1969.  George was a graduate of Jefferson County High School and an accomplished cook. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Mamie Morris Atkins and brother, James Atkins. Surviving siblings and aunts cherishing his earthly life include: brothers: Curtis (Rosemary) Atkins, Stafford, VA and Tallahassee, FL, Eddie (Barbara) Atkins and Lester Atkins of Tallahassee, FL and Michael (Tinareneal) Atkins, Salem, AL; sisters: Heddie (Moses) Fletcher, Durham, NC; Helen (Tommy Sr.) Mays, Colorado Springs, CO, Christina Sylvester, Panama City, FL, Linda (Leander) Barrington, Monticello, FL, Flora (Calvin) Ball, Tallahassee, FL; aunts: Maggie Mickens, Tallahassee, FL, Eliza Morris, Monticello, FL and Elizabeth Morris, New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

V iewing-visitation for Mr. George G. Atkins will be held 4:00PM-6:00PM, Friday, November 14, 2025, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950) .

Homegoing Services for Mr. George Atkins will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00am at the Union Branch AME Church (Monticello) with Interment in  Old Union Cemetery.
