George Floyd, Jr., 78, answered the Master's Call on Monday, November 13, 2023. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950). Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at Tillman's. Mr. Floyd mastered many careers including Butcher, Chef, Landscaper, Shipping Clerk and Toll Plaza Janitor. He retired from Merita and Holsum Bakeries as a Shipping Clerk after 33 years of dedicated service. Survivors include his loving wife, Juanita Whipper Floyd; sons: Edward (Zena), Langford and Kendrick; stepsons: Edward Jr. (Vanessa) and Dwayne; daughters: Jacqueline and Angela, stepdaughters: Latanya, Tabitha and Tracy; brother, Phil; sisters: Joyce (Herman), Waylene, Gail, Jewel, Dorothy, Barbara and Denise; and numerous grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
