George Henry Knight, Sr., 84, of Tallahassee's Bradfordville Road Community passed at home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, at Mt. Zion P.B. Church, Dawkins Pond, with burial in St. Phillip AME Church Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE. Mr. Knight had lived in Philadelphia for well over 40 years. He retired from the Construction Industry and was a member of the Male Chorus at Mt. Horeb P.B. Church. Survivors include his children: Bernadette Knight, Troy (Patricia) Knight, Sr. and George (Brenda) Knight, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Roosevelt and Charlie Knight, Daisy Bell Kent, Irene Jones, Josephine (JC) Smith and Maggie Carruthers; several in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. George's wife, Emma Lee Colson Knight and son, Vincent Knight preceded him in death.
