Mrs. Irene Smith Lawson,90, of Midway went Home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 6, 2024. Homecoming services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at Everybody's Church, with burial in Midway Community Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday (Tomorrow) at St. John P.B. Church. A native of Midway, Mrs. Lawson was the widow of Louis T. Lawson, Sr. She was a Church Mother at St. John and was well known for her gospel singing talents. She love flowers, fishing, gardening and crocheting. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Lawson (Kenneth) Colston; son, Reginald G. (Tammy) Miller; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; sisters: Willie Mae Long and Ollie Mae Albert; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
