Isaac "Sonny" Brooks, Jr., 79, of Tallahassee passed on Saturday, September 7, 2024. His funeral is 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Life Deliverance Ministries, 3377 Jim Lee Road, South, Tallahassee. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). Born in Donaldsonville, GA, where he remained until he moved to Tallahassee as a teenager, "Sonny" attended school in Leon County. He worked in Building Construction for years before becoming a Nurseryman. He had been a member of Watson Temple Institutional Church. Survivors include his sons: Christopher Brown and Terrance King; three grandchildren; sister-caregiver, Jessie Brooks Austin; brothers: Earl (Rovenia) Brooks and Willie Fred (Lucy) Brooks; a longtime companion & special friend Rosa Flowers and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
