Obituary

A TIME TO BE BORN
One of the greatest joys bestowed upon Ernest L. Pompey, Sr. and Bennie Mae English Pompey was the birth of their first-born daughter, Jacqueline Anita Pompey on March 3, 1964 in Tallahassee, Florida.

A TIME FOR EDUCATION
Jacqueline graduated from Lincoln High School in June 1982. She also attended Florida A&M University, Tallahassee, Florida.

A TIME FOR LABOR
Jacqueline started a strong work ethic at the age of seventeen, building a career in management with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles and retiring from the Florida Department of Revenue after 39 dedicated years. She devoted her love to mentoring with Lincoln, Rickards and Florida High Schools.

A TIME FOR CHRIST
Jacqueline being a part of a Christian family accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 16 on August 15, 1980 and was baptized on September 1980 at Queen Chapel Primitive Baptist Church under the leadership of the now-late Elder Tom Gibons Sr.

A TIME TO LOVE
A life worth having is a life worth sharing, therefore, Jacqueline took Danny to be her beloved groom/husband. This union lasted "until death do thee part". Their union was blessed with two sons, Larrey Williams, Jr. and Ernest A. Williams and one daughter, Danett Pendleton. In addition to their union were three godchildren, Dwight A. Mathis, Brittany Miller, and Ivan Jones, whom she loved dearly; and grandchildren, Larrey III, Merci, Larreyion, Ernest Ray Antonio, Ernessia Jacqueline and Eliana Missy Williams, Eilene Nicole Herrara, Jeremy Mitchell and Jaylond Pendleton.

A TIME TO TRANSITION TO ETERNAL LIFE
On Saturday, evening, October 24, 2020, God released Jacqueline from this temporary life to one of eternal joy and rest. Jacqueline peacefully accepted God's way and His will. She was forever strong in God and never questioned or doubted God's calling.
