Reverend Moderator (Emeritus) James Bobby Duval, 80, of Tallahassee answered the Master's Call on Sunday morning, December 24, 2023. Homegoing services will be 12:00 noon Friday, December 29, at the Old West Enrichment Center, with burial in Oakland Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is Thursday 2-4 p.m. in Greenville at Shiloh M.B. Church and 5-7 p.m. at Memorial M.B. Church in Monticello. A 1963 graduate of the original Lincoln High School, Reverend Duval was a retired FAMU Police Officer and past Moderator of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Association, currently serving as pastor of Shiloh and Memorial Churches. He was well-known for his fire and brimstone sermons and was a master at grilling and smoking wild game. He was a longtime Chaplain at Tillman Funeral Home. His love and legacy will live on forever in the hearts of his loving wife, Teresa Johnson Duval; sons: Vincent Duval and Reverend Antonio (Adrinia) Wyartt; daughters: Veronica Duval and Stephanie (Elder Denver) Mullings; 5 grand and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers: Bishop Judson (Jackie) and Zack (Eleanor) Duval, Jesse (Brenda), Gene (Jean), Preston (Rose), Charles and John Christie; sisters: Maggie, Harriet and Elizabeth Duval, Beatrice and Rosa Christie and Mary Randolph; and countless other relatives and friends.
