REFLECTIONS OF LIFE

A TIME TO BE BORN:
James Hampton was born in Jefferson County, Florida on August 12, 1959 to Theodore Sr. and Roberta Hampton, who both preceded him in death.

A TIME TO WORSHIP:
James was converted at an early age and joined Wigginsville Baptist Church. He later joined New Hope Primitive Baptist Church where he served until his passing.

A TIME TO SERVE AND LEARN:
James lived most of his life in the Sirmans Community. He attended the public schools of Madison County, Florida and later joined the United States Army. In 2000, James and Phyllis Ann Butler were joined in Holy matrimony and to their union, five children were born.

A TIME TO DIE:
Late Saturday night, November 16, 2019, the angel of death silenced and sealed the lips of Brother James Hampton. He was quickly taken to his eternal rest.

A TIME TO MOURN:
James leaves to cherish his loving memories a loving and devoted wife: Phyllis Butler Hampton; five children: Cassandra Hampton and Ashley (Jacques) Hampton, both of Greenville, FL, Jamie (Cheryl) Hampton, Sr., Tallahassee, FL, Kevin (Stacey) Hampton, Auburn, NY and Brian (Jessica) Hutchinson of Kansas; five sisters: Theola Gallon and Barbara Miller, both of Greenville, FL, Deloris (Mathis) Groover, Tallahassee, FL, Helen Cuyler, Penfield, NY and Pearlie Sales of Philadelphia, PA; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a special thanks to Amber Williams for allowing him to raise two of the grandchildren as his own: Zykeiria Hampton and Jamie Hampton, Jr.; special friends: Lonnie Jennings, Maurice Treadwell, Neal Hightower and Gary Moore; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
