Reverend James Nathaniel Lofton, 86, of Tallahassee answered the Master's Call on Monday, July 22, 2024. Homegoing services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, at the Old West Enrichment Center, with burial in Clifford Hill Cemetery. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Thursday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE. Reverend Lofton was a retired Master Roofer and Pastor of New Jerusalem M. B. Church. He was known for his quote, "I love you and there ain't nothing you can do about it." Survivors include his daughters: Stephanie Lofton (Ernest) Certain and Patricia Lofton Mickens; sons: Rev. James (Lisa) Lofton, Jr. and Roderick Lofton; brother, Karl (Trella) Lofton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and his New Jerusalem Church family.
