James Maduro, Jr.

Tallahassee, FL - James Valdamar Maduro, Jr., 60, of Tallahassee passed unexpectedly on Monday, August 23, 2021. Graveside services, with military honors, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday in the Tallahassee National Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Thursday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). A native of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, James was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He received his post high school education at Tallahassee Community College, the University of the Virgin Islands and Florida A&M University. He was a longtime State employee and most recently, was Senior Grants Administrator with the City of Tallahassee. He was a referee in Little League sports. Treasuring his love are his longtime companion, Marsha David; sons: Jamal, Jareem, DeShaun and Javon Maduro; daughters: Ledesha Maduro and Kristal Cooks; several grandchildren; mother, Bernice Maduro Berne; brothers: Dwayne (Marva) Maduro and Byron Maduro; sisters: Alda Maduro (Carlton) Fielteau, Germaine Maduro, Dereese (Ian) Maduro-Charles and Shenell Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends.
