It is with loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Ms. Janeshia Nachelle Aikens , 28, of Tallahassee, Florida, who departed this earthly life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
Viewing-visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday, February 13, 2026, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Greenville, Florida.
A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday February 14, 2026, at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1943 SW Grand Street, Greenville, Florida 32331, with the interment concluding in New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Janeshia Nachelle "Nunaberry" Aikens was born in Tallahassee, Florida on July 22, 1997. She was preceded in death by the following loved ones: Pauline Ferrel, Easter Bell and Jeff Anderson, Albert Anderson, Emmanuel McGee, Lola McGee, Theodore Jenkins, Roscoe Anderson, Celestine Anderson, Rosemary Mathis, Aunt Mary, Ivory McKinney, Don Ware, Eshelle Allen and BJ McKinney.
Janeshia attended the public schools of Leon County, where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 2015. During high school, Janeshia took the Early Childhood course, which became her first job upon graduation. She later enrolled at Jacksonville Job Corps where she obtained a CNA license. During her diagnosis in 2024, she attended UMA online to study Billing and Coding. She worked at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital (TMH); she loved cooking different recipes from TikTok, traveling with family, shopping and babysitting.
Janeshia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was a devoted Christian in her faith. She attended New Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Tallahassee, FL.
On February 4, 2026, Janeshia departed from her earthly body and was received by the Lord in her Heavenly Home. She leaves to cherish precious memories and celebrate her love, her daughter: Caylee Nelson; parents: Tim and Shaneatha Morris, and Kevin Aikens; grandparents: Irria (Gilbert) Parrish, Cheryl Ealy, Patricia (Larry) Morris and Dorothy Anderson; great-grandmother: Eular Delaughter; sisters: Timesha Morris, Tallahassee, FL and Ke'nya Aikens of Atlanta, GA; brothers: Kevin Aikens, Jr., Valdosta, GA and Christopher Reynolds of Macon, GA; uncles: Oskar "Dula" Murray (special uncle), Roderick Murray, Sr., Jamie Murray, Sr. and Billy Ray (Teresa) Crumitie, Jr.; aunts: Shimika Ealy, Tomeka Crumitie, Demetria Anderson, Latoya (Kerry) Brooks, Tywanda Anderson, Alanna Anderson, Tonya Arnett, Portesha Morris, Kynyera Morris, Keyambreya Morris, Burnita Farmer and Lavondra (Tyrone Jr.) Simmons; great-uncles: Steve, Van, Willie Boy, Derrick, Pasco, Jeff, Mike, George and Charles; great-aunts: Brenda, Juanita, Tracy, Joyce, Paula, Mary, Joann, KK, Gail D, Jacqueline, Gloria, Molly, Pearline, LaQuetta, Gail A., Shirley and Lilla; her only nephew: Zhyir Morris; special family friends: Mother Dee Calhoun Rush, Byron and Erick and family; also a host of other relatives and loving friends.
It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Ms. Aikens and to serve the Aikens Family.
