Javon Marquette Wooten, 26, of Tallahassee passed on Monday, August 26, 2024. The service is 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, at Tabernacle M.B. Church, with burial in Midway Community Cemetery. A 2017 Rickards High graduate, Javon "J Woo" was a star athlete in basketball and football. He received a full Football Scholarship to Albany State University where he graduated with a degree in Physical Therapy. He is survived by his parents, Roscoe and Tawanda Powell Wooten; siblings: Camery, And'Reveon and Taliyaha Wooten; grandparents: Annie Lester Powell, Linda McAffee, Corine (Frank) Ferguson and Willie Roy Calloway; auntie, Trina Price; and numerous other relatives and friends.
