Jimmy Williams, 61, of Madison, FL passed in Valdosta, GA on Friday, September 28, 2024. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, at Shiloh M.B. Church. Interment will follow in New Zion Cemetery, both in Greenville. Viewing is 4-6 p.m. Friday at Shiloh. A Greenville native, Jimmy was a 1981 graduate of Madison County High School, the first class after the closure of Greenville High. Jimmy had a long career in Food Services, beginning with Gourmet Food Services. He worked in management at Florida Memorial College, FAMU & Southern Bell Towers in Orlando. In recent years, he was a self-employed Carpenter. Survivors include his daughter, Tempest Taylor; son, Marcus Williams; three grandsons: Dakota, Elijah & Amari; godchildren: Thomaz & Denali; girlfriend, Shirley Hall; sisters: Diane (Carlton Jr.) Sheffield, Geneva (Keith) Thomas, Katie (Patrick) Hodge, Betty Miller, Valarie Cray & Laura Nell Reaves; brothers: Johnny, Willie (Mary), John Wayne (Lynn), Rev. Larry Williams, Tyrone (Christa) & Henry (Gloria) Reaves & Wilbur Williams; and countless other relatives and friends.
