John Wesley Ford, Jr., 74, of Tallahassee passed on Tuesday, May 28, 2024. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Friendship P.B. Church, with burial in Indian Branch Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE (850-942-1950). John was a 1969 graduate of the original Lincoln High School. Over the years, he had worked at Sunniland Hospital, Leon County Schools, Graybar Electric and Sam's Club. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, basketball and watching Westerns. Survivors include his wife, Yolanda Smith Ford; son, Jakarri Ford; daughters: Stacy F. (Marchetti) Williams and Tunisia Ford; grandchildren: Ryane and Ziyan Williams, Jahkyla and Josiah Ford; sisters: Gladys (General) Caswell, Ann Ford Norton, Joyce Ford and Carolyn (Harrison) Covington; brother, Crawford Ford; and numerous other relatives and friends.
