Johnny Fitzgerald Hagan, Sr., 60, of Monticello, FL passed unexpectedly in Gainesville, FL on Monday, October 21, 2024. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 26, at Memorial M.B. Church, with Interment in Byrd Cemetery. Viewing-visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday at TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO (850-997-5553). Johnny was a Monticello native and a 1982 graduate of Jefferson County High School. He attended Florida A&M University where he majored in Political Science and was a trumpeter in the famed Marching 100 Band. He was a 20-year Dade County Corrections Officer and retired as a Public Records Manager for the Leon County Attorney's Office. Johnny leaves lasting cherished memories to his son, Johnny Fitzgerald (Danielle) Hagan, Jr.; daughter, Tylar Janai Hagan; grandson, Jackson Alexander Hagan; brothers: Ralph (Erlinda), Frank (Priscilla) and Curtis Hagan; sisters: Ruth Hagan Trumpler and Earlene Hagan-Hall; brother-in-law, Rhaudal Cooper; partner, Madeline Weise; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
