JONATHAN FITZGERALD JOHNSON, SR. was born on April 14, 1964, in Monticello, Florida, to Johnnie Mae Davis and Samuel Johnson Jr. From the very beginning, JONATHAN brought a light into the world that would touch the hearts of many. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers: Robert Barkley, John Lovette "Don" Johnson, and Arthur Wendell "Anthony" Johnson; and his beloved maternal and paternal grandparents.
JONATHAN received his education in the public schools of Jefferson County and proudly graduated from Jefferson County High School as a member of the Class of 1982. Even in his youth, JONATHAN'S magnetic personality set him apart. His quick wit, warm smile, and natural charm made him unforgettable—he had a way of lifting spirits and leaving lasting impressions wherever he went.
At an early age, JONATHAN accepted Christ as his Savior and joined the Church of God of Prophecy in Capitola, Florida. His faith was a steady foundation throughout his life, and he remained steadfast in his trust in God until his final moments. Known to many as "Pretty Boy Floyd" or simply "Jony," he was a familiar and cherished presence in the Bond community. Through his kindness, generosity, and exceptional lawn care services, Jonathan built more than just a livelihood—he built relationships. His work ethic and friendly spirit earned him the respect and appreciation of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, JONATHAN peacefully entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He leaves to forever treasure his memory, his devoted wife: Linda Johnson; loving daughter: Desiree Johnson; son: Jonathan Johnson Jr.; and stepson: Terrell "TI" Daniels. He also leaves behind one precious grandchild: Na'Shya Meadows, who will carry forward his light.
JONATHAN'S legacy continues through his brothers: Alphonso "Dave" Williams, Samuel "Mike" Johnson, and Thomas "TJ" Johnson; and sisters: Yvonne Thomas, Eleanora Bethel, Althera Johnson, and Minister Anjanette Jones. He is also fondly remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends whose lives he touched in countless ways.
It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Johnson and to serve the Johnson Family.
