Respectfully, we announce the passing of Mr. Joseph Henry Brown, Sr. , 80, of Monticello, Florida.

A Perry native, Joseph graduated from Jerkins High School, Suwanee Junior College and Florida A&M University, where he was a Mathematics Education major. He was a 30 year plus Middle School Math Teacher at Madison Middle School. A dedicated teacher and devoted Christian, Joseph was a longtime member of Monticello Church of God of Prophecy where he was active in Sunday School. He loved fishing in his leisure time. Survivors include his wife, Mary Nesbitt Brown; children: Joseph Brown, Jr., Elizabeth B. (Willie) Patterson, Jennifer Brown, Adreaunna B (Joseph) Nelson, Zachary Trice, Cannetta B. Patterson and Christopher Haynie; several grandchildren; brothers: Frank (Ruth) Brown and Eddie (Edwenia) Brown; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Viewing-visitation for Mr. Brown will be Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4:00PM - 6:00PM at the TILLMAN OF MONTICELLO CHAPEL (850-997-5553) .

Funeral Services for Mr. Brown will be 2:00PM, Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Memorial Missionary Baptist Church, 780 2nd Street, Monticello, FL 32344, with Interment in Hickory Hill Cemetery.
