For 36 years, Corinne dedicated her life to education and athletics as a teacher and coach of women's sports. Known to generations simply as "Coach Stephens", she was a mentor, motivator, and steady influence whose impact extended far beyond the classroom and playing field. She was deeply committed to developing confidence, discipline, and teamwork in the young men and women whose lives she touched.
In addition to her career in education, Corinne was the owner of Corinne's Winner Center, a local business providing trophies, plaques, and awards to schools, teams, and community organizations. Through her work, she helped celebrate the achievements of countless individuals throughout the region. Corinne was also a devoted member and trustee of Open Hearts Methodist Church, faithfully serving her church and community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Stephens and Ivie Pearl Stephens. She is survived by her sister, Annette; her brother, Jack Jr.; her niece, Robyn; and her nephew, Stephen.
She will be remembered for her selflessness and her enduring spirit of service to others.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Open Hearts Methodist Church so they may continue the work that was so important to her in life.
