Mother Julia Frances Hightower Twitty, 94, departed this life on Friday, December 27, 2024. Homegoing services are 12 noon Friday, January 3, at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950), with Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. A native of Colquitt, GA, Mother Twitty was a longtime Tallahassee resident. She had a varied background: chef, dry cleaning presser and private-duty homemaker. She was the widow of Louis Twitty and a devoted Church Mother at Greater Miracle Temple Apostolic Holiness Church. Survivors include her daughter, Mildred T. Richardson (Herman) Harris; son, Wallace Twitty; 3 grandchildren: Stephen (Miyoshi) and Cleveland Richardson III and Layata T. Kiser; 15 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
