In Remembrance of Our Beloved
Katina Maria Felix
Katina Maria Felix was born on July 15, 1972, in Leon County, Florida, to William Felix and Rosemary Rodgers Felix. She was a precious gift to her family and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Katina accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Chaires Apostolic Holiness Church in Tallahassee. Her faith in God remained a guiding light throughout her life; providing her with strength, hope, and perseverance through every season. She went on to Joliet, Illinois and joined Christ Temple Apostolic where she served until her death.
Katina received her education in Leon County and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1992. Following graduation, she relocated to Joliet, where she continued her education and pursued a career as a children’s special needs teacher. She was passionate about helping others and dedicated her life to making a difference in the lives of the children and families she served.
Katina was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, and friend. She possessed a gentle spirit, a caring heart, and a warm smile that could brighten any room. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends made her truly special. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, and share her love with those around her.
On Friday, July 3, 2026, Katina peacefully entered into eternal rest. Although she is no longer with us in body, her love, faith, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, and devotion to family will never be forgotten. She leaves to cherish precious memories her devoted daughter: Caitlyn Williams; loving mother: Rosemary (Curtis) Atkins; sister: Angela Felix; brother: William (Michelle) Felix, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Katina was preceded in death by her father: William Felix; and her sisters: Irma Felix and Raynetta Mason.
Today, we celebrate a life well-lived and a woman well-loved. While our hearts mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she is resting in the presence of the Lord. Her memory will remain a treasured blessing, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
It is our esteemed honor to have been entrusted with the care of Ms. Felix and to serve the Family family.
