Dr. Kenneth Earl Fowler, Jr., 55, of Tallahassee transitioned unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Services as follows: Viewing Sunday, October 29, 3-5 p.m. Jacob Chapel Baptist Church; Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Burial Ceremony to follow. Funeral Service October 30, 12 Noon at Old West Enrichment Center, burial to follow. Dr. Fowler was a distinguished Marriage and Family Therapist. A Dallas, TX native, he graduated from W.T. White High School (1987). He then enlisted in the Naval Officer's BOOST Program as an Officer Candidste Trainee stationed in San Diego, CA. Thereafter, Dr. Fowler enrolled and graduated from FSU with his undergraduate degree. He then obtained his M.Ed. from FAMU. Dr. Fowler later returned to FSU for his PhD in MFT. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fanatic, and enjoyed golfing and traveling. Dr. Fowler was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. In the community he served on several boards and councils. Survivors include wife, YaRhonda Fowler; children: Ayden and Ayana; parents, Eddie and Sharon Thornton; sister, Pascha Thornton; brothers: Anthony (Jackie) Thornton and Kevin (Yvonne) Teal; lifelong best friend and brother, Sean (Audra) Pittman; father-in-law, John Burden; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
